MELBOURNE, Dec 18 AAP - A 34-four-year old teacher's aide stabbed by a petty thief at his
school three days ago is still fighting for his life in hospital.
A spokeswoman for St Vincent's Hospital where Peter Orr was taken on Tuesday said today he
remained in a critical but stable condition.
Police investigating the attack today released a photo, supplied by his family, of the
dedicated teacher's aide.
Mr Orr was working at Lynall (Lynall) Hall Community School in inner suburban Richmond, in
Melbourne when he was stabbed in a frenzy by the thief after chasing and tackling him.
The principal had come across the intruder rifling through bags in his office and was
chasing the man when Mr Orr intercepted him.
The man stabbed him in the head.
Mr Orr helps with reading and writing at the school which is for troubled teenagers.
