FED: "No case to answer" Einfeld's lawyers say

Former Federal Court judge MARCUS EINFELD will find out today if he'll stand trial
for perjury .. perverting the course of justice .. and traffic offences.

But his lawyers say he has no case to answer and a jury won't be satisfied he was behind
the wheel of his car when it was booked committing traffic offences.

Committal proceedings for the former judge and human rights advocate will draw to a
close today in Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court .. where EINFELD is fighting 14 charges.

His barrister's called for the case to be discharged .. saying there's not enough evidence
EINFELD was behind the wheel on any of the four separate occasions.
