The Freelancer.com CEO has already won numerous other awards for the business, which allows tenders for services industry work to be conducted online in exchange for a percentage fee. Barrie took over the management of the previously languishing site and boosted its growth substantially and he has further ambitions for expansion globally. Freelancer.com currently is the largest Australian-based internet business in terms of user reach. The judging panel noted Barrie's true spirit of entrepreneurship and hands-on approach.
