Vic: $50,000 damage, two arrested, over sports pavilion damage
MELBOURNE, Aug 22 AAP - Two teenage boys have been arrested over burglaries at three
sports pavilions at Melbourne's Albert Park that caused $50,000 damage.
The youths, aged 15 and 16, will appear in a children's court today charged with burglary,
theft and criminal damage at the David Mandie, Cox McKenzie and Middle Park bowls club
pavilions in Albert Park.
The incidents occurred some time before 3am (AEST) today, police say.
Irreplaceable sports memorabilia and building fittings were destroyed in the attacks.
